In March 2023, I created a mural for Telokwento in Santa Fe, Mexico City, in honor of International Women’s Day. The piece depicts a group of women walking together through darkness, led by one at the front who lights the way with a symbol shaped like the feminist icon. This visual metaphor speaks to the strength of unity and how women continue to illuminate each other’s paths toward equality.
The mural was conceived as a tribute to collective struggle, sisterhood, and hope, and was painted in a public space to amplify its impact. Collaborating with Telokwento on such a meaningful date reaffirmed my commitment to using art as a tool for awareness and social transformation.
