Workshops "Pequeñas Alas, Gran Impacto" in Papalote Children's museum CDMX

In September 2025, together with museographer Claudia Contla, we painted a series of murals in the creative space at Papalote Children’s Museum, as part of a project supported by the United Nations Human Rights Office. The murals were designed to accompany the Pequeñas Alas workshops—an initiative that encourages reflection on migration, empathy, and the connections between communities through art. With vibrant colors and forms inspired by the flight of monarch butterflies, the space became a living canvas filled with hope, movement, and collaboration.

Since its opening, more than 600 people have participated in the weekend workshops, writing letters from migrant and local children that are then transformed into origami butterflies. All these butterflies will come together in a collaborative and immersive exhibition at Papalote Children’s Museum starting November 18, called the “Sanctuary of Kindness.” This installation will bring together hundreds of messages about kindness and migration, creating a symbolic space within the museum where the small paper wings will represent unity, empathy, and the shared hope of those who created them.
